Paraprofessional Training
ASD is providing our Instructional Paraprofessionals an opportunity to move from lane 05 to lane 06 after the completion of this CANVAS course. It should take approximately one hour to complete. The modules include:
- A welcome to ASD and an introduction to the Utah State Guidelines for Paraprofessionals
- Culture, Climate, and Connection
- Supporting Students with Behavioral Needs
- Supporting Multilingual Students
- Supporting Students with Disabilities
Modules typically consist of a variety of reading slides, watching informational videos, and completing reflection questions.
At the conclusion of the course, you will be prompted to print out a copy of your completion certificate, obtain your principal’s signature, and deliver the signed copy to your secretary. The secretary will attach the certificate to a Notification of Assignment document and send it to human resources for processing. Thank you for your dedication to providing extra time and support for our students.
