In order to be placed in Imagine Learning, students must first take the WIDA Screener.
When new students are registered at school, their parents fill out a Home Language Survey.
Parents check a box on the survey that indicates if a language other than English is spoken at home.
If this is the case, school secretaries then send the paperwork to the S.E.A.O. department or School ESL. Coach and they will arrange for the student to take a WIDA screener to determine their English proficiency levels for Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing.
Depending on their level, they will be placed in an Imagine Learning program. This will then be added to their Clever account for easy access.
